Blue Waves Place Third at State
Boasting a State Meet roster of 55 swimmers, the Blue Wave team got off to a great start on Friday with 34 swimmers in the grueling 1650. At the end of day one, the Blue Wave had a firm hold on third place.Days two and three brought more fantastic swims by the usual veteran team stalwarts, which were matched by great performances by the teams newest swimmers. Ben Culver, Aileen Vogel and Jenna Sawyer Rutkowski earned high point awards in their age group to lead the way. Oz Osborne added to the total, narrowly missing high point award by a scant one point. The rest of the 55 person roster posted so many great swims that cannot all be listed here! The Blue Wave swimmers brought home the coveted third place trophy, myriad medals, ribbons, and enough plush bear heat winner awards to fill a toy store. Photos Coming Soon! Check the Photos page
